The test on chapters 7–9 administered on November 13 was taken by 219 students
(counting those students who did not sit for the test, but who earned some
points by turning in homework).

You should score your own test and make sure the correct score is listed for you
in the online gradebook on Blackboard. Here is how to do that:
- Check your answers to questions 1–12 against the correct answers, and
add up the points for your answers:

- Check your answers to questions 13–23 against the correct answers, and
add up the points for your answers:

- Check your answer to question 24 against the correct answer, and give
yourself 2 points if your answer is right:
1. Q → (P → R) (premise)
2. ~R & Q (premise)
3. Q (2, simplification)
4. P → R (1, 3, modus ponens)
5. ~R (2, simplification)
6. ~P (4, 5, modus tollens)
- Divide your total number of points earned by the total number of points possible
(30), and multiply by 100 to express your raw score as a percentage.
- This test was curved by 10 percentage points. So, add 10 to the previous
number.
- Also add a number between 0 and 6, to reflect the number of extra-credit
points you earned by turning in homework for these chapters.
- Then round off to the nearest hundredth of a percentage point. For
example, if your calculator reads 69.333333, round that off to 69.33. The resulting grade should match the grade recorded for you in the
online gradebook on Blackboard. If it does not, please come see me (and, of
course, bring your test with you). Also, if you believe some other answer than
the one listed above should be counted as correct, please come see me. For
either of these purposes, please see me, or contact me to make an
appointment with me, by the end of Tuesday, November 21.
