information about the test on chapters 10–12

The test on chapters 10–12 will be given during the final-exam period on Tuesday, December 12, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Although the final-exam period is two and a half hours long, we will use only the first 50 minutes of it. So, the test will be given from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. If you do not arrive on time, you can still take the test, but you must finish by 11:20 a.m.

By 12 noon on Friday, December 8, I plan to post on the course web site a practice test on chapters 10–12, with an answer key. The practice test will be similar to the real test, and you can use it to study for the real test. To access this practice test and its answer key, go to http://web.ku.edu/~utile/courses/reason1, and, in the narrow frame on the left side of the page, find the appropriate links under the heading ‘Test on Chapters 10–12’. You may have to scroll down a bit to find the links, depending on the size and settings of your monitor. The test will be contained in a PDF file, so you will need to be using a computer that can read files in that format.
